Personal Marker Board

Do you have kids in your life that you need gifts for? This project is a perfect and inexpensive gift, or a fun project to do as a craft with your own kids...or both!

It is a personal Marker Board! All you need is a picture frame, some Stampin' Up! designer series paper, and your imagination.

Take your picture frame apart and take out the paper insert. This is your guide. You will also want to take note of how much the frame covers the picture once it is inserted.

Cut your paper to desired size. You can use one sheet or multiple sheets. Pick out your desired embellishments and add them to your paper. Once everything is done insert the finished product into the frame. The glass acts as the marker board. You can buy dry erase markers at your local dollar store.

A Picnic Set

This summer I had a girls craft camp. One of our themes was “Picnics” The girls made their own placemats, coasters, napkin holders, and a matching basket. It all turned out so cute.  The girls seemed to have a good time. First was the placemat, coaster, and napkin ring.

We started with some red checked table cloth vinyl that I bought off a roll at Hobby Lobby.

For the placemat:

I cut the vinyl 8 1/2 x 14 inches, We stamped black ants with black permanent ink along the bottom of the place mat. On Whisper white cardstock they stamped 2 grasshoppers in Always Artichoke classic ink, 3 ladybugs in Real Red ink, and a slug in brocade blue for the coaster. They punched out the grasshoppers with the large oval punch, and the lady bugs with the 3/4 inch punch.  They glued the bugs onto the placemat. For durability purposes we laminated the whole placemat with my Xyron.

The Coaster:

We used a 4 inch square blank coaster, The vinyl was cut to the same size and glued on to the coaster. Using the large scallop circle we cut out the coater with the Big Shot. They then glued a small white scallop punched with the scallop punch, a Real Red circle with the 1 1/2 circle punch, and the slug with the 1 3/8 circle punch. All was layered and glued to the center of the coaster. Again for durability we laminated the coaster with the Xyron.

The Napkin and plastic ware holder:

We cut a piece of Whisper White using the Top Note die. In the top center of the topnote we stamped Wishing you Worm Wishes, bottom center we stamped the worm all with Real Red. We glued the Top Note onto a piece of 4 1/4 x 5.5 piece of Real Red and then folded it in thirds. We finished it off with a piece of red gingham ribbon.

This makes a cute and durable place setting set.
