Personal Marker Board

Do you have kids in your life that you need gifts for? This project is a perfect and inexpensive gift, or a fun project to do as a craft with your own kids...or both!

It is a personal Marker Board! All you need is a picture frame, some Stampin' Up! designer series paper, and your imagination.

Take your picture frame apart and take out the paper insert. This is your guide. You will also want to take note of how much the frame covers the picture once it is inserted.

Cut your paper to desired size. You can use one sheet or multiple sheets. Pick out your desired embellishments and add them to your paper. Once everything is done insert the finished product into the frame. The glass acts as the marker board. You can buy dry erase markers at your local dollar store.

Halloween Scrapbooking Page 2

A quick post today. Here is page 2 of the Halloween double layout. I love the way it turned out. I'll add directions and supply list tomorrow.

It was a quiet afternoon and evening here, my husband and teen-agers went to the Iowa vs Michigan game in Lansing.It should be interesting when they get home. My husband is an Iowa fan as that is where he and I grew up. Our daughter however is a huge Michigan State fan, so someone is going to come ecstatic and someone else is going to come home disappointed. It should be interesting. :)

On to my little project...

This is the first page of a double halloween layout that I made using a few more of the pumpkins and some other added guests on the page. I love how the "Happy Halloween" turned out. I used the Naturally Serif Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die making letters in Only Orange and Black and then shadowed the black under the orange. I used a I love how it looks. The other little creatures can be found various places on the web and are easy to make.

Halloween Matchbox

Today I wanted to use more of my pumpkins and the black and white "Happy Halloween" card stock that I stamped. I used my big shot and the match box die to make this little box. I wrapped the the box with pumpkin pie 1/4 inch ribbon and topped it with 2 of my little pumpkins. Isn't it cute?

A Pumkin Gift Bag

Every year I have made pumpkins from orange card stock punched with the oval punches. This year I wanted a little different look. I decided to keep it very simple and just use my Wide Oval Punch and 1 3/4 inch Circle Punch. I punched several circles and ovals. Then taking a standard office hole punch and the little square punch from Stampin' Up! Some of the squares I snipped into little triangles and I snipped some mouths all from black card stock. The vines are the Swirls Scribbles Sizzlet and the Big Shot.

For the next element I took a 12x12 piece of black card stock and stamped "Happy Halloween" in Whisper White all over it making my own patterned paper. It turned our really cool.

With the pumpkins and my newly stamped pattern paper I was able to make several little projects.

Here is the first project...

 

It is a little Halloween gift bag. Isn't it cute? The little black bag was a candy bag at a wedding I was at a couple of weeks ago. I do know you can get them at Michaels though. I cut 2 pieces of the black card stock with Happy Halloween on it the same size as the bag and glued them to the front and back. I put 2 of my little pumpkins on it. I punched the orange background label with the Modern Label Punch. I stamped "Happy Halloween" on black with Whisper White ink and punched it with the Window Punch. I topped it off with a Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon.

Fancy Favor Box

The Fancy Favor Box is one of the Big Shot dies in the Stampin’ Up! idea book and Catalog. I love these little boxes! I made this one more like a bag by putting a handle over the top. These are perfect for little gifts like nail polish, or even candy. If you can fit it in the box you can give it as a gift. I used the in-color Rich Razzleberry for the box, the mat is pale plum. The image is from the Razzle Dazzle Stamp set.
